With over 4 Million views of their videos on various social media sites, the Booker T. Washington High School Gospel Choir has captivated a unique sound and energy that many have grown to love. The curriculum-based Gospel Choir started under the director of Mr. Nathan Myers (Class of '97) and is now under the direction of Audra Scott. The ensemble performs a variety of song forms drawn from the African American religious tradition, including traditional and contemporary gospel, anthems, hymns, and spirituals. The Gospel Choir maintains an active performance schedule at both on and off campus events. This ensemble has been featured with performers such as Kristin Chenoweth, Artist from Disney/Nickelodeon and many more. This choirs' mission is to encourage the human race and spread the love of music to all who will listen. |
