Unity on Greenville just might be the ideal place for your Quinceañera Ceremony.  Our inclusive Quinceañera, Wedding and Holy Union policies respect the diversity of society.  We welcome all people regardless of religious affiliation, age, race or sexual orientation. Unity on Greenville offers positive, spiritual, non-denominational ceremonies and a peaceful, inspirational environment for a very reasonable price.

Unity honors all spiritual and religious paths. We attract many families who do not have a regular church home, or for some reason cannot have a Quinceañera Ceremony in their own church. Please know that membership in our church, or attending a Unity class is not required, although we do invite you to check us out at a Sunday service (9:30 a.m. Adult Class or 11:00 a.m. Worship and Celebration Service).
Our minister, Rev. Steve Colladay, or Unity member Rev. Luigi Martinez, provide a Quinceañera Ceremony that is positive, contemporary, and spiritually supportive of the celebrant and family.  Rev. Martinez provides ceremonies in Spanish.

To reserve a date
Your Quinceañera date is reserved by a $100 deposit on a first come first served basis.  You are encouraged to make arrangements as far in advance as possible.

The remaining balance is due 3 weeks prior to your Quinceañera Ceremony.  Checks should be made payable to: “Unity Church of Christianity.”  We also accept credit/debit cards (in person, or by phone.)

Cancellations
A full refund will be given if a cancellation occurs more than 60 days prior to the wedding date. Refunds after 60 days are at the discretion of Unity Church of Christianity.

Holiday Ceremonies.
All fees are doubled if the Quinceañera Ceremony is held on any of the seven major holidays (i.e., New Year’s Eve & Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Eve & Day).

Rehearsals.  
Most Quinceañera Ceremonies can be done without a formal rehearsal. However, if several people are involved in the ceremony, a rehearsal is recommended. A simple rehearsal may be held one hour prior to the ceremony at no additional charge.  However, if a rehearsal is requested on another day, the rehearsal fees apply--$75 for the minister, $50 for staff (if needed).

Ceremonies at Other Locations.
Our minister is available to perform Quinceañera Ceremonies at other locations (i.e., homes, parks, restaurants, etc.) for an additional $100 for up to 1 hour driving time from Unity.

Other Ministers or Officiants.  
You may provide a different minister or officiant of your own choosing to conduct your Quinceañera Ceremony; however, there is a $175 fee for having our additional staff on site.

Time
A maximum of 2 ½ hours is allotted for your Quinceañera Ceremony (1 hour prior, 1 hour after scheduled time).  Punctuality is important since more than one ceremony (or wedding or holy union) may be scheduled at the church on the same day. Any request to open the church earlier or at another time will be subject to an additional charge of $75.00 per hour.

Decorations
The sanctuary comes decorated with silk flower bouquets at no additional charge. Couples are free to decorate the sanctuary themselves as long as it is in good taste. Decorating and flower delivery may be done 1 hour prior to the Quinceañera Ceremony.  The moving of furniture must be approved by the minister or representative of the church. Please, no wire or tape on pews (use ribbons, rubber bands or pipe cleaners). Couples must provide their own dripless candles. NOTE: All decorations, flower boxes, extra trash must be removed from the church after the wedding.

Other information & policies
Throwing of rice is not permitted; bubbles are recommended. Birdseed is permitted, however be sure to throw birdseed outside the church building. The consumption of alcoholic beverages on the premises is prohibited All prices are effective August 1, 2008, and are subject to change without notice.

Receptions
Quinceañera Ceremony receptions are held in our Upper Room, which has a maximum capacity of 60.   The fee is $300. There is a kitchen for your use. 

It is your responsibility to see that someone in your party has the reception area cleaned after the reception. You must remove all that they bring in; shoe boxes, plastic wraps, hangers, etc. All caterers must clean up after themselves. No red punch is allowed.

Parking
We do not have our own parking lot adjacent to the church. Therefore, parking on Greenville Avenue can be a challenge. We find that generally, after 5:00 p.m. it can be difficult. Parking is allowed in the strip center across the street from the church, on the South side of the street on McCommas Blvd., and various other places. Parking however, is not allowed in the parking lot directly across from the church. Cars may be towed if parked in Blue Fish or Kirby’s parking lot.
