Prayer at Unity on Greenville

The Unity movement was founded on prayer, and our support of one another through prayer and meditation activities is integral to who we are at Unity on Greenville. Please know that we are always available to walk with you through prayer support from our minister, Rev. Steve Colladay, one of our Chaplains, or members of our congregation.

Unity Supports You In Prayer

Our approach to prayer is affirmative, confidential, and is based on positive prayers and affirmations that have universal appeal.

Our Prayer Chaplains are available to pray with you immediately after our Sunday Services. In addition, all members of Unity on Greenville receive a monthly phone call from a Prayer Chaplain offering prayer support. If you are not a church member, but would like to receive a monthly Prayer Chaplain call, please contact the church office.

We bless and honor: Carlotta Cole, Katharine Goodbar, Bob Jones, Lamar Lester, and Walter Hart.

UNITY CARES FOR BUSINESS
A Prayer Ministry Program
Unity Church of Christianity of Dallas

Unity on Greenville has expanded our monthly Unity Cares prayer program to include local businesses and church vendors through a new program called Unity Cares for Business.

Every month the names of six business are randomly drawn from our church vendor list and our Unity Cares for Business prayer basket, which holds business cards placed by our congregation. Our entire congregation is then invited to hold the businesses in prayer for 30 days; the names of the businesses are also sent to Silent Unity where they receive prayer support 24 hours per day for 30 days.

Businesses that are selected for the monthly Unity Cares for Business prayer program receive a letter informing them of the prayer power coming their way: “We join you in affirming all good things for your business, employees, and customers, including love, health, prosperity, and unlimited potential. We see you open and ready for a new experience of endless possibility. With God as your Source, your journey toward a new and unlimited horizon continues every single day, and your success is assured!”

The Business Prayer Affirmation below is offered to all businesses of any size:

A Business Prayer Affirmation

Our business abides in the endless love, health, and prosperity of a loving, giving God. We release the strength of God into all thoughts about our customers, employees, and business. We are open and receptive to God's unlimited good, knowing our attitude of gratitude creates the space for grace. Since God is our Source, our vision of endless possibility and unlimited good continues to expand. With clarity, focus, ease and grace, we accomplish great things. Thank You, God! Amen.

Joint Statement for Peace

Unity School of Christianity and the International Association of Unity Churches

Unity stands for peace in the presence of conflict; for love in the presence of hatred; for forgiveness in the presence of injury. Unity honors the many names for God, the many paths to God, the many ways to worship God; for there is only one power and presence of God and that God loves each one of us equally. It is therefore the position of The International Association of Unity Churches and Unity School of Christianity to urge all nations, their leaders, and their people to turn to God by whatever the name for guidance during these challenging times and pursue peace, not war, for this is what honors the God of all our faith traditions. Unity stands for peace in our lifetime.

A Personal Stand for Peace
A Revision of the above Joint Statement

I stand for peace in the presence of conflict.
I am committed to seeing the world not as it is, but as I am--and I am in spiritual unity with God.

I stand for love in the presence of hatred.
I am a radiating center of peace and love.

I stand for forgiveness in the presence of injury.
I can change all thoughts that hurt as I shift my perception to this holy instant where the Peace of God is my one goal. I choose again, and I choose Peace, Love and Joy.

I honor the many names for God, the many paths to God, and the many ways to worship God.
I believe there is only one power and presence of God, and that God loves each one of us equally.

I turn to God for guidance during these challenging times.
Through the power of the Christ within me, I release thoughts of fear and separation. I give my attention to the peace and love of God, right here and right now.

I urge all nations, their leaders, and their people to turn to God by whatever the name for guidance during these challenging times and pursue peace, not war, for this is what honors the God of all faith traditions.
We are all spiritual beings, children of a loving God, with the potential for peace and harmony and overcoming within us at all times.

As I pursue peace, not war, I honor the God of all faith traditions.
I look at every man, every woman, every child and I love them because I know that the God of all faith traditions loves them.

I stand for peace in my lifetime.
My only purpose here is to be an expression of God's love and holiness in this world. Therefore, the peace of God is my one goal.
