A PROMISE TO
OUR WONDERFUL CHILDREN, YOUTH, AND PARENTS
Dear Parents:
As your child/children’s Youth Education Director, I have a promise and responsibility to see that your child’s/youth’s spiritual journey at Unity on Greenville is rewarding, positive and based on the Unity principles. Importantly, while I commit myself to your child’s/youth’s spiritual growth, I would love to build a partnership with you, as well. As youth director I intend to fulfill my obligation and would love your support!!!! TOGETHER WE CAN ENSURE YOUR CHILD/CHILDREN WILL CONTINUE TO DEVELOP ACCORDING TO THEIR NATURAL GOODNESS AND THEIR CHRIST-LIKE ABILITIES. Therefore here are some items of interest I would like to see you and I work together on in order to secure our partnership in achieving positive development within your child’s manners and thought process:
- Everything that is created for the classroom is done to help our children and youth understand that all things good about them originate from God and they are to share their Goodness with their family, friends and the world. As parents, we should accept this responsibility too. Since you live and interact with your child daily, you have influence over what your child learns, too. To help your child learn constructively, use your own God-given talents and abilities to teach your child, so they can better understand and accept their Christ-like abilities.
- The children who attend Sunday services at Unity on Greenville deserve to learn in an environment this is respectful, safe, structured, yet LOVING and FUN!!!! Please help your child/children to appreciate and acknowledge our classroom agreements. This will help our youth to accept responsibility for their actions and to give them a clear structure toward expected behaviors and consequences.
- Teach your child healthy eating habits. Please send your child/children to youth classes each Sunday morning fueled with nutritional foods. Nutritional meals are essential to growth and development and by allowing your child to adapt to this behavior, he/she will learn the benefits of nutritional value and how it can have positive effect on their ability to learn.
- You‘re a parent because God has already blessed with the virtue, temperament and understanding to be a remarkable example. I choose to teach and mentor because I love to give back what has been given to me. Remember to speak positively about circumstances, behaviors and others to your child/children. The environments that we create, infinitely has a lasting impact on your child’s tolerance level, awareness and acceptance.
- You are a Role Model to your child and others. Why not be the best role mode you can be and demonstrate your own God-Given gifts and talents!!!! All children love for their parents to participate in their activities. The Youth and Family Ministry at Unity on Greenville invite All Parents to help carry out this promise by volunteering and sharing your time in the classrooms. Your child will love and thank you for it… and so will I. This will also help our children and youth to develop a sense of understanding for sharing and helping others.
I am certain these thoughts will help us to build a wonderful partnership together. We both have a universal interest in one of God’s many Wonders and as Youth Director, I want to provide the most joyous and loving environment in our classrooms and church.
Blessings,
Twillow
