Farewell to February

For the final enews message for the month of February let’s pause a moment to honor Black History Month with thoughts of gratitude for all who have elevated our awareness to the significant contribution our ministers of color have made to the Unity and New Thought movement.

Let us with humble hearts hear the words of overcoming that have so clearly marked the journey of people of color in our country, in our cities and in our neighborhoods.   Let’s commit to living better with one another so that no one feels like “the other’ rather, all live their true identity as beloved of God.

Let’s remember too, that February is the month we recognize the many aspects of love.  We remember the beauty of love’s grace and the feelings of love.  Let us not forget the love we use the power to attract to us and us to all that we need to make manifest our lives in conjunction with the collective and in accordance to spiritual law.

Let me discern the law of love in my own heart and in knowing it, obey it.
                                           Celtic Benediction

It is for purpose that discerning love in my heart be the beginning of understanding love’s laws.  It is for me, living from my heart, that brings life’s fullness into existence.  It is by discerning love that I move in the world and “Let all I do be done with love:” (I Corinthians 16:14) so that love may be the foundation of each thought I hold, every word I speak, and all actions that I take.

May my thoughts be made pure by the cleansing of love at the root of all I am.
May love be the energy that passes from my lips with every word I speak.
May the seeds of love spring forth from words that flow from me.

May all I do be inspired by the elegant movements of love.
Love, overflowing form my heart and filling ever cell of my being
So that every movement of this vessel be graced by the gift of love.

May I move upon this earth with gentle footsteps and let me hold a kind gaze
upon all I see.  May my hands be gentle to all I touch.
As gentle as Love’s compassion and kindness is with me.

May I notice the needs of the earth and care for her always
May I feel the pulse of all that grows from the richness of her soils.
May I tenderly care for all that comes forth as her beaty and her bounty.

May a look upon all others with the same consideration of love with which Love look at me.
May I always see God’s master work in the eyes and heart of another.
May I claim for others divinity, equity, and all good graces as I claim for me.

May I never sit shyly or hesitantly when another heart calls. Instead, let me rise and stand courageously.
May never be forgotten your gentile mercies and the great mysteries of my life.
May I always want for all you have created, that which I want for me.

May Love be the guide in all my ways.  May all I do be done with Love.

Love and blessings,
Rev. Karen
