Spiritually Dealing with Difficult Family Relationships

June 18th Father's Day Rev. Ellen Davis

Ellen will speak on June 18th on the topic of Working with Difficult Family Relationships.

Ellen will be speaking about how to spiritually deal with family disagreements and those who have not “treated us right”.

I think all of us have relatives who are challenging.  Mother’s Day and Father’s Day sometimes bring these feelings to our mind.

Join us on Sunday, June 18th, on Father's Day as we spiritually consider how to deal with these situations and our feelings.

Ellen Davis is an ordained Unity Minister who has been retired for one year from Unity of Denton where she was the Spiritual Leader and later ordained Unity Minister serving a total of 25 years.  She also served as Spiritual Leader for 2 years at Unity of Ft. Smith in Arkansas and for 6 months at Unity by the Sea at Corpus Christi.   She has a B.A. degree from Texas Technological University in Lubbock, Texas in Latin American Area Studies.

She attended her first Unity church at Greenville Unity over 40 years ago when Dr. Curtis was the minister. Her parents introduced her to Unity in Austin, Texas in 1968 when Catherine Ponder was the minister and with whom Ellen did some counseling when she was attending Texas Tech.

Ellen has owned and operated two bookstores which have been holistically oriented and which reflected her love of spirituality, respect for the care of the earth. Native cultures,
herbology, aromatherapy, alterative healing, nature and mankind's search for the truth.

Ellen's spiritual quests have led to trips to sacred spaces which have included a trip to the Hopi Reservation in Arizona in 1984 which directly resulted in a 3 week trip to Peru (1986) where
she explored the ancient spiritual sites in the jungles, mountains and plains.

She and her late husband, Dean who was an ordained Unity minister, have given many work- shops and lectures at churches, bookstores and civic groups on the near death experience
which Dean has experienced, the importance of dreams, and meditation.
