These classes are perfect for beginners! They provide an introduction to meditation and offer advice and encouragement for starting to practice meditation, mindfulness, and bringing new ways of thinking to daily life.
Class includes two guided meditations, a talk on Buddhism for everyday living, and time for Q&A.
Although part of a monthly series, each class is stand alone. You can drop in any time. Everyone welcome!

Gen Kelsang Menla has studied under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for over 20 years and was requested by him to become the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Center Texas in June 2017. Gen Menla was ordained as a Kadampa Buddhist monk in 2001 and has worked and taught within the New Kadampa Tradition for many years. He brings a warm heart and joyful attitude to sharing Buddha’s teachings and the practice of meditation.
REGULAR TEACHER
Carol Salerno is an experienced meditator and Teacher, having studied and practiced Kadampa Buddhism for over 15 years. As a wife, mother, business professional and active volunteer at KMC Texas, she has a wealth of practical experience of applying Buddha's teachings in everyday life. She also has done several long meditation retreats and studies on the Teacher Training program. She brings joy, humor and genuine insight to her teaching.
